Poultry Account Manager
at Akey / Provimi North America in Ohio, USA
Akey / Provimi North America, a leader in the livestock and poultry nutrition industry, is actively recruiting a Poultry Account Manager to support the service needs of a growing customer base.
Primary functions of this position include representing Akey at all times in a professional manner with integrity. Coordinate activity with account team members to effectively sell new accounts and service existing customers. Strive to grow our business on a profitable basis with key existing accounts and develop new business with large producers, select regional manufacturers and other targeted accounts. Effectively communicate with account team members, management and other personnel as needed. Continually strive to improve technical knowledge, selling skills, communication and other skills necessary to do the job.
1. Represent Akey at all times in a professional manner with integrity.
2. Develop and implement effective business strategies to grow our business on a profitable basis with current key accounts and develop new business with targeted accounts.
3. Provide appropriate service to Akey customers through cost-effective use of company resources.
4. Communicate with account team members, management and other personnel as necessary in order to effectively and efficiently sell and service existing and new accounts.
5. Continually strive to improve skills necessary to do the job; including but not limited to improving technical knowledge, selling skills, communication capabilities (written and verbal) and computer skills.
The successful candidate will:
1. Possess an degree in animal science or related technical field, or have a DVM and training experience in poultry nutrition.
2. Demonstrate the skills to understand the interactions between nutrition and poultry performance and develop farm specific solutions to optimize customer results.
3. Organized team player with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
4. Have three to five years of industry experience.
5. Willing to travel throughout the United States with occasional international trips.
This position will serve a key role in the poultry team and is preferred to be based at the Lewisburg, Ohio Nutrition Research Center. Provimi North America, Inc. offers an excellent salary, bonus and benefit package.
