Institute plans Fiji's largest chicken farm
The Navuso Agriculture Institute is aiming to build the biggest chicken farm in Fiji within the next three years.
School head Reverend Malakai Tuikadavu say work towards the biggest chicken farm is currently underway and construction of the first chicken coop has been completed.
Tuikadavu says they are working with Crest Chicken Ltd on the project with the company sending through the first lot of chicks in the next few weeks.
He says they are planning to build three to four more chicken coops this year.
The Institute decided to venture into the industry after noticing the country’s chicken shortage, the high public demand and the rewarding financial returns.
